Build a Toolbox
Ages 8–12 · 10:00–12:00
Skills: measuring, sawing, fastening, assembly, finishing. Every student takes home a toolbox they built themselves.

Hands-on trades, engineering and practical life skills for North Texas homeschool families. Real workshops. Real tools. Real projects. Kids Trades Academy gives homeschool students something difficult to recreate around the kitchen table: a professional workshop, experienced instructors, structured skill progression and projects they can take home and use.
Kids Trades Academy gives homeschool students something difficult to recreate around the kitchen table: a professional workshop, experienced instructors, structured skill progression and projects they can take home and use.
Professional benches, real power tools under supervision and a space built for making — not a kitchen table.
Measuring, cutting, wiring, plumbing and repair — taught with the same tools the trades use.
The KTA Skill Passport tracks skills from KNOW to MASTER across every program — parents see real evidence of learning.
Every unit ends with something built, tested and taken home to actually use.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts
Texas Education Freedom Accounts can award eligible students up to $2,000 annually, and approved education-related expenses include certain educational services, courses, materials, tutoring and programs that train for approved industry credentials. KTA designs every homeschool program with those requirements in mind.
Until KTA and a specific offering are actually approved, we won't imply that any program is TEFA-covered. Where you see a "TEFA Accepted" marker on a registration card, that program has been confirmed by us — and only that program.
